Tidal Shift

The main idea that guided me was to represent the plastic on the ocean's surface. My sister has a stress toy that is something like this and I used that to guide this project. 

I used bristol board as a base glued on blue pieces of paper to represent the ocean. Lastly, I used small pieces of plastic sealed in a big clear bag with baby oil to flow and act like waves. 

The processes that I had to go through was how can I present something creative for this project. I first wanted to do a realistic either colored pencil or acrylic drawing/ painting. It wasn't creative enough so I found random materials around my house and created this interactive piece.
