Thank You To our Alpha Hosts Laura and Clare Draper
We can’t believe what you’ve just done
Given up ten weeks of hearth and home
Ten Tuesdays you have cleaned and cooked
For 40 strangers to study ‘the Book’.
Graciously you’ve shared your home and time
Cheerfully cleaned up our spills and grime
[In between chasing three little ones
(Margaret, Claire and Rains)]
Laughed when you probably wanted to cry
Your bodies tired, but your heads held high.
Thank you Laura, and thank you Clare
Our hearts are touched that you could care
So much for those in need of God’s love and grace
We shared our thoughts, you provided warm space.
You deserve a medal, you deserve a prize
But that will come beyond the skies
Thanks for being such a blessing to all
We love and honor you with this poem small.
