recently Nathalie and i have been given three writings which have really thrilled us - writings by one who was in Khargpur before we got there and one whom we have known since she was a 3 month old little one (and I will say a real "cutie") they have brought back so many memories--some pictures of that house in which we lived for ten years and the Church where we ministered for that time --remember one night five young men came to the parsonage and wanted to talk with me--they were all set to prove to me that the Bible was full of myths and errors..well we talked - or they did for about an hour or more as I listened carefully and took down some notes -then it was my turn and I took their points of view and from the Word proved every one of them wrong. and before they left four of them had accepted the Lord Jesus and the other one came later to me personally and he too accepted the Lord. and said something I have always remembered: "You listened to us and didn't make us feel foolish for what we said" I have thought of that so often when I have been tempted to start interrupting and get MY thoughts across. then also I remember that group of youth who helped me rewrite the Christmas Carol and then produce it in the Church what fun we had practicing and then performing --they performed I just helped them and then we all went to the Institute to see the movie "The Christmas Carol" and we all agreed that while they did it professionally it meant more to us when we did it. sure loved to work with that youth group. and today I get "goose bumps" when I think of all those young people have done for the Lord through these years --Ministers, Minister's Wives, and members of Churches where they have been strong for HIM. wow Memories are truly wonderful food for an old preacher's soul---more coming but for now G Night with love to all ME —the old preacher
