Am up to my head in work lately. Am taking over Straightway editorship-going thru UR red tape trying to study for regular courses-auditing others-etc.

Allergy & infection under control, pro tempore.

Your def’n of education sounded ok-with qualification and very specific ones, too. i.e. what does “successfully pursuing & enjoying life” constitute? Relating oneself to reality generally sounds materialistic-and I personally haven’t found the right way of doing it spiritually. Further I’m still young enuff to be idealistic enuff to want to add the clause: to do all things as pleasing unto god-and with love and consideration for one’s fellow man. But maybe this is just going along with what he said. I’m too tired to think right now.

I’ve written for application forms from following med schools: Yale, #1 Harvard, John Hopkins, UR, Western Reserve, U of W, #2 Des Moines Ost. Med. College, and will write to Washington U in St Louis as well. The first 5 colleges are the best in the nation and I’m gambling on the best.

My roommate wants to get married Xmas time. I’d tho’t of flying home on new ½ fare program (for all 21 yrs & younger), but will probably go his wedding instead. I envy him. He’s got a lovely girl. I don’t have much lined up along that line, but feel that in the next 2-3 yrs. Someone might come along (My god! Am I getting weak minded, old or am I just tired??)

Guess I’ll sack out.
