Dorothy, You seem to have 26 hours in a day, or maybe even 30, considering all that you manage to squeeze in in 24 hours. When is Angie due? Glad you could attend her shower loaded with gifts. I'm sure she and Micah were very happy. Suzette is due Nov. 11th but the baby is already head down, so she may go sooner. Roger and I voted last Friday, so that is out of the way. Can't wait to hear the VP debate tonight; should be very interesting. So why is Jared unable to get a loan for a better car? I know he used up all of his savings helping out his sister, but he can probably get a loan. Oops, sorry; it is almost impossible to get a loan at the moment due to the financial meltdown on Wall Street last week, and the other major institutions that have gone belly up in the last week or so. No regulators minding the store, thanks to the current administration and their buddies in Congress. Don't get me started on the corruption and flagrant misuse of power. All these rich fat cats have no concern for the everyday person in this country struggling just to make it to the next paycheck. Some don't even have a "next paycheck" coming, and have lost their homes to boot. I could go on and on, but you probably don't want to hear me ranting and raving. Out with all the bums, and God save the USA from any more like them! End of sermon!
Hope you are getting a little rest this week, but I think not. There will be a special place reserved in heaven for you, with angels waiting on you hand and foot!
Got to go watch the latest on the upcoming debate tonight. Was at David's today helping out with Alex. Alex was here yesterday as well, so haven't gotten much done the past couple of days. Was supposed to go downtown to register voters this a.m., but plans changed with the babysitting issue. Dave was expecting a couple of calls ; phone interviews for a possible job. So that became my primary mission. Don't know is anything will come of it, but I would like to help any way I can in that direction.
We head back to the lakehouse this weekend, check on boathouse; no rain in the past month. Also pick apples and figs. Maybe Manure lady will have some chestnuts for Roger; he hasn't beren to see her in a while! Every thing is really dry and we have had water restrictions for the past three years. Problems with finding gasoline as well since the hurricanes in the Gulf a couple of weeks ago. People waiting in lines, stations out of gas, while our governor is in Madrid. Why should he care, he can go wherever and whenever he likes. Sorry to be so negative, but these fat cat politicians say "let them eat cake", when there isn't even bread OR water! Hope you are voting this year; it is very, VERY important that we get some new people with new ideas in the White House, and I'm not talking about McCain and Palin! God Bless America!
Your Sassy Sister-in-law, Susan
