Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular

In America families have many different holiday traditions. One common tradition is going to the city that never sleeps, New York City. The Radio City Music Hall produces a Christmas Spectacular every year, and has been since 1932. Each year the production is slightly different, however it does consist of some of the same things such as the Rockettes performance. The Rockettes always do a different tap dance, but it will always include a kick line. Another part that has consistently stayed the same is the toy soldiers. They perform a dance where they are constantly moving in perfectly straight line. Then they fall back onto each other slowly creating a domino effect. This is a very difficult task because they need to slide their feet out from underneath themselves in order to create anticipation in the audience. The most important thing is, making sure no one gets injured. This show is about an hour and a half. This year the Christmas Spectacular started on November 8th, 2019, and it won’t end until January 5th, 2020. Some families, such as my own, have made this show a part of our Christmas tradition. It does a really good job of portraying the Christmas spirit, and it also helps get people excited for the holiday. If you have never seen the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, you should definitely try to see it, and maybe it will become part of your holiday tradition too!
