Beetlejuice

On September 28, 2019, my mom and I went to NYC to see Beetlejuice on Broadway. The Tamaqua Community Arts Center put the trip together. We left at 7:00 am and returned home at 9:00 pm. We got to the city around 9:30 am and could roam the city until showtime at 2:00.

Before the show started, we walked downtown through Times Square to the Empire State Building. We took a 45 minute self guided tour and got breathtaking photos from the top. Then, we headed back into Times Square to take photos. We stumbled upon a store called Theatre Circle. Inside this store you can find items from almost every Broadway show, from sheet music to T-shirts. Right before the show, we ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant directly across from the theatre. For breakfast/lunch I had Churro Pancakes.

We watched an amazing two hour show and then headed out back with our Playbills for the meet-and-greet. Although I was in the back of the line, I managed to push to the front of the mob to gain six signatures and a photo with Alex Brightman who played Beetlejuice.

After the show, we walked around and discovered a backstreet ice cream shop. After we had delicious ice cream, we headed to Bryant Park and then back to the bus stop to leave the city. We had our second Starbucks and merchandise in our hands as we boarded the bus. I absolutely loved the show and recommend the show to anyone. Although all Broadway plays are outstanding, this one is probably my favorite.
