Listen up, Seniors! As college is knocking at your door, scholarships correspond as a colleague. Don’t worry the Newspaper Club has got you covered. The Lehighton Area School District offers many scholarships such as, the Local Lehighton scholarship, Corporate scholarships, and the Old Time Pocono Farm Association. The local Lehighton scholarships are given to senior Lehighton students. In the guidance office, teachers receive scholarship information. For example, corporate scholarships are from local businesses that offer scholarships for some kids that work in a daycare or whose parents work at a certain job.Seniors can also look on the guidance website to view scholarship opportunities. Seniors can check weekly on the website to view the certain criteria that a scholarship requires. For example: the Old Time Pocono Farm Association scholarship requires a paragraph.

Though there are a lot of web based scholarship searchers, it’s best to not go with a company that you have to pay to help you find scholarships. Not only will the websites search up scholarships that you can find on your own, but you are now spending a portion of the money that you are saving up for college. Websites like Fastweb and Career Cruising will contact you with scholarship information. All you have to do is to make a profile and Fastweb and/or Career Cruising will come in contact via email when information is available. Here’s one great tip - don’t wait until the last minute to retrieve scholarship information.
