Flight Attitude Transition Table
About two-part entries.
A/C have a speed of 4.5+ (5 FPs to use) and makes HTx2 pull transition (entry: 1/2H, 1V to 1/3V) from level flight.
Is only second entry (1V to 1/3V) determine HFP / VFP split?
In this case is this mean that A/C can take from 1 VFP to 1/3 VFP with in this instance equals 1.5 rounded to down to 1 (because of starting from LVL - rule 6.1.3) meaning that A/C need to take 4/1 FP split?
Does first entry only means that 3 of this HFPs need to be used before the VFP could be expanded, or does it mean that A/C can use 3 HFP and than up to 2 VFPs?
The two part entry means that the frst part must be done before expending any VFPs. The second part restricts how many total VFPs you are allowed to take. In this case, you have to spend 3H first, then you can take 1V to 1/3V with the remaining two FPs. Since 1/3 of 5 is 1.5 rounded to 1 for starting in level flight, you will take exactly 1 VFP. Therefore, the only two moves that would be allowed would be:
4H 1V
or
3H 1V 1H

F4F-4 at speed 1.5+, performing an Eazy +1 pull from INV to ISHD
Ez+1 Pull from INV is 2/3H, 1V (in bold). The question I would like to ask is this:
On the Fractional Values Table 2/3 of 2 FPs is 1.5 HFPs, which must then be rounded up (level or shallow), which makes 2 HFPs! So this means that the Wildcat hasn't got enough FPs to then execute its VFP!
I know that if total FPs are <2.0 a 1V is treated as 0V for level or shallow attitude, but his speed is 2.0 exactly, not less than 2.0
So, does the Wildcat only do HFPs due to the fractional round-up, and therefore miss out on its VFP, or does it have to perform the 1V as it's a bold entry? Additionally, if it wasn't a bold entry, what would the ruling be then?
On the 3.5.1 rules play aid FVT fractions for both HFPs and VFPs are rounded per the notes.
Starting in shallow it says, round VFP portion down, HFP portion up.
So in all cases, Drew's move would have to be 2H/0V despite the bold 1V.
"Mandatory" (if able).
Note that as a two-part transition, the first part (2/3H) must be complied with before the 1V is addressed.

JD,
I have a question regarding the FATT. In INV, under NG BT(1) there is this entry: 2/3H, 1V or >1V to 1/4V
What exactly does this mean?
Is it:
2/3H, 1V OR 2/3H, >1V to 1/4V
or is it:
2/3H, 1V OR >1V to 1/4V
Hmm, now that I wrote this I'm pretty sure that its the second option but would like to be sure.
This one, as all options coming out of level or inv attitudes should be 2-part FATT codes.
