Fighting Wings is a game system from Clash of Arms designed by JD Webster about WW2 Air War. One counter is one plane, 1 hex is 100 yards and one turn is 4 seconds.
The Series is composed of 4 games :
The first one published in 1993 was "Over the Reich" covering the European Theatre 1943-1945.
The second one published in 1994 was "Achtung Spitfire" covering the European Theatre 1939-1942.
The third one published in 2003 was "Whistling Death" covering the Pacific Theater 1941-1945. Whistling Death contains the second edition of the Fighting Wings Rules with updated rules for the vertical.
The fourth game in the series published in 2020 was "Wings of the Motherland", covering the Russian Theatre 1941-1945. It contain the third edition of the Fighting Wings Rules.
A simplified game system extension named "Buffalo Wings" was published in 2010 in the "Against the Odds" magazine issue #29 covering the Russo-Finnish Theatre 1939-1943, and it is with this extention that I began playing the System.
