It’s a Saturday arvo barbie,
And your cooking up a storm...
When you here the ruckus starting,
And you know it’s not the norm...
You stand in disbelief,
As it unfolds before your eyes
The cat has ripped the screen door,
And let in all the flies...
The kids are out back fighting,
And mum’s not real impressed...
Another day of chaos,
Which can leave you stressed...
So here’s something that you can do,
To brighten up your day...
Grab that Ice cold Fourex,
It will blow the blues away...
Just sit back in the chair,
With can of Gold in hand...
Close your eyes a moment,
And dream about that far off land...
Where the mud crabs, are a plenty,
And the Barra's thick and fast...
And you’re bound to catch a beauty,
Don’t matter where you cast...
The esky chock a block,
It’s every diggers dream...
Then suddenly you awake,
To your partners screams...
It’s time to face reality,
And get on with your life
You’ve left the steaks are burning,
And now you are in strife...
But this is just another day,
Of the Aussie bloke...
There will always be tomorrow,
To tell another joke...
So I’ll leave with this motto,
I’m sure you have been told
To drink in moderation,
And you’ll wake up good as gold...
