(Sung to Advance Australia Fair)
Australians, let us all dig deep,
For the Queensland Flood Appeal...
They’ve lost the soil it’s time to toil,
Lives ruined by this ordeal...
The rains came down in nature’s rift,
Caught people unaware...
In history’s page the floods did rage,
Let’s Show Australians Care...
Those woeful rains the floods did bring,
Let's Show Australians Care...
Beneath the mud many lives were lost,
Their spirits were in demand...
They needed help these mates of ours,
Families through the lands...
With shovels, and brooms for all to see,
There were people everywhere...
With mate ship let us all combine,
Let's Show Australians Care...
Those woeful rains that the floods did bring,
Let's Show Australians Care..
