Australia Day
I am rather saddened,
About some news that come my way…
That may cause a bit of controversy,
If we celebrate Australia Day…
As a fourth generation Australian,
I acknowledge our past mistakes,
But we all are trying to evolve,
To do whatever it flamin takes…
There were so many that have come before,
Who fought and died for what was right …
Under a flag they all believed,
Was the symbol of their plight…
Yes, our past is caught up now…
The winds of change begun
So, we need to have a flag,
That will unite us all as one…
Australia day is a time,
To celebrate this great place in which we live...
Advance Australia forward,
Learn to respect and to forgive….
