I was driving to work,
The other day...
When a kangaroo,
Jumped in my way...
I tried to swerve,
But it was far too late...
As that poor old kanga,
Met his fate...
With a rattle and a bang,
He rolled out the side...
To the middle of the road,
That's where he died...
So I quickly pulled up,
To removed him from the scene...
Then laid him down,
Where the grass was green...
Then I drove off,
Feeling sad and blue...
About that encounter I had
With that kangaroo...
