Marina was her name,
The nurse from old Mount Dore...
She had very special skills,
That we’ve never seen before...
It is with sadness in our hearts,
That we have to say goodbye...
To a friend we’ve all have known,
She made us laugh and cry...
She was there when we were crook,
In need of some relief...
She was there when we blew over,
Shaking her head in disbelief...
With a sympathetic smile,
She helped us one and all...
She never got to unwind,
As she would always be on call...
Drinking ginger ale at the bar,
She would try to feel at home...
With the Sat phone by her side
Wherever she did roam...
Now she’s off to look after mum,
To give her some support...
The best place you need to be,
While your loved ones are distraught...
The place won’t be the same,
We’ll miss your smiling face...
Just think of us now and then,
When you finally leave this place...
From all of us at Mount Dore Mining Camp...
