I wandered into the supermarket,
To do a little shopping...
When my nose smelt an aroma,
And my bottom lip was dropping...
I wasn't really hungry ,
But I followed it's alluring smell...
These hypnotic aroma's,
Had me under it's little spell...
I followed it to the food court,
Where all kinds of foods were on display...
From so many different countries,
All with their own unique bouquet...
I walked up to Macca’s,
And bought myself a feed...
Then a coffee over at Starbucks,
Was really what I need...
I had my tray of goodness,
Then turned to grab a seat...
But there's no place left to sit,
Not one table where I could eat...
I hovered like a seagull,
Just waiting for a break...
For someone to stand up,
It was their chair I’m going to take...
Then the moment came,
I rushed in like a champ...
I quickly sat down to eat,
Although it was a little damp...
Someone had spilled a drink,
It looked a lot like coke...
Maybe I was set up,
Somebody's little joke...
I wiped away the soft drink,
And the rubbish everywhere...
Then prepared to eat my burger,
When I felt an eerie stare...
I turned around real slowly,
A little kid was by my side...
So I grabbed my chip box,
And behind it I did hide...
But he was so relentless,
Calling me mister all the time...
I didn’t think by throwing chips at him,
Was classed to be a crime...
Then he started crying,
Calling mum to back him up...
It’s was then I had to leave,
I grabbed my burger and my cup...
So in the car park I did flee,
Like a convict on release...
In the comfort of my car,
Where I finally found some peace...
A little shaken but not stirred,
Then I drank my coffee down...
And tried real hard not to laugh ,
Although I was smiling like a clown...
