I went to to Sydney,
Just the other day...
A flight from Townsville,
Saw me on my way...
As the plane touched down ,
The pilot was raving...
To turn back time,
It's daylight saving...
I was a little confused,
When I reached this state...
As I lost 60 minutes,
Of my life there mate...
Strewth a bloody hour,
Was lost somewhere...
It had disappeared
Without a thought or care...
I found out a bit later,
That my hour it will be found...
When my plane returns,
Back on Queensland’s ground...
This Sydney mob,
Has some strange old rules...
This daylight saving,
is just for fools...
Getting up in the dark
is ain’t no fun...
It’s nine at night
Before the setting sun...
My body clock,
Has run a muck...
In this twilight zone,
I’m somewhat stuck...
I just can’t wait,
To set things right...
When I fly back home,
To my place tonight...
I’ll get a an hour,
That I missed so much...
This hour of mine,
Of my life as such...
