It’s Christmas time down under,
And the weather’s getting hot...
Santa’s on his way,
He’s got his reindeer on the trot...
He must feel quite uncomfortable,
In that big red woolly suit...
With his funny little cap,
And those fur lined leather boots...
So I think he needs a change,
Next time he visits me...
I’ll give him a set of boardie's,
That will go below his knee...
A bright red singlet too,
And some thongs for those big feet...
An akubra for his head,
Now he’s looking sweet...
I’ll trade the reindeer in for roo’s ,
A big red will lead the way...
Then I’ll use the old man’s tinny,
That will make a better sleigh...
It will be a sight to see,
As he dashes through the scrub....
Maybe stopping for a drink,
Down at the local pub...
So he’ll be so cool and happy,
As he delivers all his toys...
In the outback of Australia,
To all the girls and boys...
Merry Christmas to you all,
I'll hear him give a cheer...
Thank you for the clothes,
And that ice cold can of beer...
