This collaboration signifies a pivotal step in advancing opportunities for RSU students in agriculture-related disciplines.
The agreement focuses on fostering academic and practical collaborations, benefiting students in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSAgri) and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering (BSAE) programs. The partnership is set to provide internship opportunities, knowledge-sharing programs, and hands-on training in cutting-edge agricultural technologies and techniques.
Discussions leading to this partnership began in June 2024, during an initial meeting between RSU representatives and Dagam Farm, led by CEO Chang Goog Kang and Engr. Annelin Paming. The dialogue identified key areas for cooperation, including internships, collaborative training, and knowledge transfer initiatives in agriculture, agricultural engineering, and other related fields.
This partnership aligns with RSUโs mission to provide globally competitive education while contributing to Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). By leveraging Dagam Farmโs expertise and resources, RSU students will gain exposure to innovative agricultural practices and international training environments.
The initiative highlights RSUโs dedication to enhancing its academic programs and equipping students with the skills and experience necessary to excel in a globally competitive agricultural sector.
