The RSU Sustainable Development Center is dedicated to integrating futures thinking and foresight into the university's operations and services, with a strong commitment to advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals . 

Aligned with the strategic priorities of the International Relations Office, the Center seeks to democratize futures methodologies by embedding them in the university’s regular performance monitoring, assessment, and reporting of SDG integration. Its core functions include developing and implementing plans, programs, and capacity-building initiatives, such as workshops and conferences, to raise awareness of the SDGs among students, faculty, staff, and community partners. 

The Center also leads research activities focused on horizon scanning, trend analysis, and future scenarios related to sustainability and international development. Additionally, RSU-SDC actively forges partnerships with key stakeholders—including international organizations, research institutions, local government units, and NGOs—to enhance the impact of its initiatives and promote a more comprehensive integration of sustainable development principles.
