๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐: The Department of Trade and Industry โ Bureau of Philippine Standards (DTI-BPS) Standards, Technical Regulations, and Conformity Assessment Procedures (STRACAP) Caravan 101 is in full swing here at Romblon State University (RSU).
Led by University President, Prof. Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, together with the college deans, faculty, and students from the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), College of Computing, Multimedia Arts, and Digital Innovation (CCMADI), and College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), the RSU community warmly welcomed DTI-BPS Director Neil P. Catajay and DTI Romblon OIC, Mr. Orville F. Mallorca, along with the DTI-BPS team.
Through the STRACAP 101 session, students, faculty, local industry, and even retailers are learning the value of standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment procedures, all vital in ensuring quality and consumer safety.
This afternoon, CET students will dive into workshops, lectures, and hands-on sessions on how standards are developed, how products are tested, and the process of certification.
RSU is proud to be part of this important initiative that builds awareness and strengthens our commitment to excellence and consumer protection.
