September 25, 2024 - SEOUL, South Korea - RSU President, Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, shared her insights yesterday as a discussant during the presentation of WURI 2024 winning cases under the Industrial Application category.

President Mani shared her insights on the following cases:

1. “Sea-condition Emergency Alert and Warning Apparatus for Vessel Safety (SEAWAVeS) Mobile Application”, a project of the Aklan State University presented by Vice President Julie Ann A. Salido

2. "CagSU Electromobility - Greening the Transport Industry", a project of the Cagayan State University presented by OIC President Arthur G. Ibanez

3. “YupiRa: Creating a Manually-Operated Waste Compression System In Practicing Plastic Waste Disposal”, a project of the Our Lady of Fatima University presented by President Caroline Marian S. Enriquez

President Mani commended the innovative projects presented by the category winners, highlighting the role of sustainable technologies in addressing pressing societal and environmental challenges. She emphasized how these initiatives exemplify the essence of industrial application by combining academic research with real-world impact.'
