July 11, 2024 - The participating Universities provided informative presenters highlighting the sense of solidarity and core values of GCED through their innovative strategies and techniques to integrate into the curriculum, instruction, research, extension, training student capacity building, and expert support services.
RSU, under the strong support of Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Emelyn F. Montoya, was represented by Dr. Mark G. Calimbo, the Dean of Instructions, with selected University officials, faculty, and students.
Meanwhile, the Bicol University team led by Dr. Rebecca Rosario O. Bercasio - Center for Teaching Excellence Director and the GCED Focal Person in the Bicol Region, and additional key resource persons from Bicol University also delivered insights during the event, Dr. Ma. Teresa M. Abainza - Integration of GCED in Bicol University, College of Education Integrated Laboratory High School,ย Dr. Ronel Villanueva - Integration of GCED in Extension and Student Activities,ย Dr. Rutesa Adornado - Integration of GCED in Instructional Materials and Ms. Cindy Grace Villanueva - Integration of GCED in the pedagogy of teachers.
This significant session initiated by the Dean of Instruction Office aims to hone the holistic skills of teachers, students, and other related organizations and embrace the Global Citizenship Education principles to promote international understanding in Higher Education Institutions.
