July 18, 2024 | RSU is honored to be a collaborator of the Office of the Provincial Governor Jose "Otik" Riano in assisting the Office of the President with the distribution of the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families (PAFFF) to our fellow Romblomanons, an initiative of His Excellency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The program aims to mitigate the effects of El Niño on agriculture and fisheries, crucial sectors for the livelihoods of approximately 3000 Romblomanon beneficiaries from the municipalities of Odiongan, Ferrol, and San Andres.

On his behalf, RSU under University President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani and LGU Odiongan under Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic  were honored to welcome DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, and DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. to our University and municipality who led the distribution of the government assistance.

The said program is also humbled to have the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and LGUs as a partner in this significant endeavor.
