RSU Launches DOI Specials: Bridging Academia and Industry 

November 29, 2024 - RSU has introduced DOI Specials, a flagship program by the Office of the University Dean of Instruction (DOI). This initiative aims to connect academic learning with industry practices, fostering collaboration among experts, educators, and students. The program is designed to provide practical insights, innovative strategies, and global perspectives to enhance the university’s academic programs and prepare students for the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.

The first episode of DOI Specials will feature Engr. Ressie S. Fos, a highly accomplished alumnus and Agricultural Engineering expert. With over 20 years of experience in project and risk management, Engr. Fos has been instrumental in over 50 successful multi-category projects in collaboration with organizations such as the Qatar Olympic Committee, Qatar Museums Authority, and the Ministry of Culture and Sports. His outstanding contributions have earned him recognition as an Outstanding Employee at Projacs International Qatar.

This episode will focus on advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through this initiative, RSU aims to integrate industry expertise into academic settings, creating meaningful educational opportunities and aligning the university’s programs with global priorities.

Scheduled for November 29, 2024, the event will take place at the RSU Audio Visual Room from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
