June 27, 2024 - As part of the vibrant celebration of the Pride Month, the RSU International Relations Office inaugurated the "Pride for the Planet 2024: A Celebration of Climate Action, Inclusivity, and Sustainability" at the RSU Quadrangle.
The event kicked off with opening remarks by Dr. Gianinna Elaine M. Labicane, the Director of the International Relations Office. Pres. Merian P. Catajay-Mani delivered an inspirational message emphasizing the urgency of climate action.
University top officials, deans, directors, faculty, non-teaching personnel, students, and representatives from various sectors came together to sign a pledge of commitment, signifying their collective promise to promote sustainable practices, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship.
Mr. Dave D. Lota, Assistant Head of the Future and Foresights for Sustainable Development Center under the IRO, provided an overview of the day's program, the lineup of activities, workshops, and competitions designed to promote awareness and action for a greener, more inclusive world.
