RSU San Fernando Campus: Presentation and Consultation on LUDIPย
June 2, 2023 โ The Romblon State University Planning and Development Office (RSU PDO) successfully conducted the Presentation and Consultation on the Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) with the RSU San Fernando Campus, marking another important milestone in the universityโs multi-campus development initiative.
The presentation team was composed of Mr. Juniel G. Lucidos (PDO Director), Ms. Hannah Faith P. Morta (Intern Architect), Ms. Sarah Joy Acepcion (GIS Practitioner), and Engr. Raymond Jay Severo (Civil Engineer)โa multidisciplinary group whose combined expertise ensured a comprehensive and technically sound planning discussion.
The session was attended by the Campus Director, Faculty Regent, program chairpersons, faculty members, and administrative staff, demonstrating RSU San Fernandoโs strong commitment to participatory and transparent institutional planning.
During the consultation, the team presented key LUDIP components, including:
Campus Development Constraints โ analysis of geohazard risks, spatial limitations, environmental considerations, and existing infrastructure conditions;
Development Plans โ proposed zoning, site development strategies, infrastructure priorities, and the long-term vision for campus improvement;
Development Cost Estimates โ indicative financial requirements to guide phased implementation and strategic resource allocation.
The dialogue provided a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to share insights, clarify campus needs, and recommend refinements to the plan. The active participation of the San Fernando community contributed to a richer, more grounded development framework that reflects both institutional aspirations and local realities.
Reflecting on the effort leading to the presentation, the PDO emphasized the productive work put into the preparation and the importance of sustained momentum. โIt has been a truly productive period from planning to presentation, and we expect the coming days to be just as productiveโif not moreโas we continue refining the LUDIP for all RSU campuses,โ the team noted.
The consultation reinforces RSUโs dedication to data-driven planning, sustainable development, and inclusive governance as it continues its journey toward becoming a GREEN, SMART, and RESILIENT university. Through collaborative efforts such as this, RSU ensures that every campus is equipped with a strategic, future-ready development blueprint that supports quality education and long-term institutional growth.
