October 4, 2024 - Romblon State University - International Relations Office successfully launched the "๐ฟ๐๐จ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐!" Virtual Language and Culture Exchange Program this afternoon, officially kickstarting the university's Global Classroom Program initiative.
Conducted in collaboration with Saint Louis College (SLC) of Bangkok, Thailand, participants were introduced to basic greetings, common expressions, and self-introductions in Thai, providing a foundation for deeper engagement with the language and culture.
The event also emphasized the collaborative nature of the initiative, with SLC faculty and students actively leading lectures and conversation practice activities.
Both RSU's Vice President for Legal and Student Affairs and Services, Atty. Glenn Niรฑo M. Sartillo, and SLC's Dean of Psychology, Dr. Thirawarin Bunyapipat, expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4, which promotes inclusive and quality education for all.
The "Discover Thailand!" program marks a promising beginning for the Global Classroom initiative, offering students the chance to engage in cross-cultural dialogue, broaden their horizons, and develop a deeper understanding of global citizenship.
