December 4, 2024 - RSU recently hosted a CHED regional orientation on 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝗦 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, gathering Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the MIMAROPA region in a collaborative effort to enhance global competitiveness and visibility. The event, held on December 4, 2024 via Zoom Teleconferencing, marked a significant step toward advancing the internationalization and quality assurance goals of HEIs in the region.

The orientation's resource speaker was Mr. Hector L. Martin, Director of the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA) at Saint Louis University, Baguio City. With his expertise in quality assurance and institutional development, as well as his instrumental role in securing SLU’s recognition in the QS rankings, he shared methodologies and strategic approaches that HEIs in MIMAROPA can adopt to enhance their readiness and competitiveness to join the QS rankings in the coming years.

This orientation concretizes the concerted effort to position MIMAROPA HEIs on the global academic stage. CHED MIMAROPA continues to advocate for capacity-building initiatives that prioritize excellence in teaching, research, and internationalization. By aligning with the QS Rankings framework, MIMAROPA HEIs are poised to improve their global visibility and enhance their role in producing graduates equipped to meet the demands of an increasingly interconnected world.
