RSU Collaborates with BJMP to Conduct Needs Assessment for PDLsย
October 16, 2024 - Romblon State University (RSU) Extension Services and Community Engagement Office (ESCEO), in partnership with the Guidance and Counseling Services and Gender and Development Offices, joined hands with the BJMP Odiongan District Jail to conduct a needs assessment with Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).
This initiative is a pivotal step in the university's HOPE (Holistic Opportunities for Empowerment of Persons Deprived of Liberty) program, aiming to promote sustainable and transformative community engagement.
Through meaningful conversations with PDLs, this assessment provides valuable insights into their unique challenges and needs. These findings will form the foundation for the next phase of the programโanalyzing the data and designing targeted projects and activities that align with the goals of holistic rehabilitation and empowerment.
RSU reaffirms its commitment to fostering inclusive community development by creating opportunities for PDLs to achieve personal growth and reintegration into society.
