RSU signs Memorandum of Agreement with PNVSCA
June 18, 2024 - Romblon State University signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) last Saturday, June 14, at the Volunteerism Knowledge & Resource Center, Sugar Center Building, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
During the ceremonial signing, RSU President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani expressed the university's enthusiasm and commitment towards instilling a sense of volunteerism as a way of life among students, faculty, and staff. With her long track record in volunteerism, President Mani commits to fostering an organizational culture within RSU where volunteer work is valued and encouraged.
Meanwhile, PNVSCA Executive Director, Mr. Donald James D. Gawe expressed gratitude for RSU's active engagement in volunteer efforts, emphasizing the importance of higher education institutions (HEIs) as strategic partners in promoting volunteerism.
In the coming months, both parties will collaborate on developing a comprehensive action plan for volunteerism, outlining specific programs, activities, and initiatives designed to promote and support volunteerism within RSU and the wider community.
