July 12, 2024 - In observance of World Population Day, Romblon State University (RSU) took a significant step towards promoting adolescent health with a symposium titled "Ang Paglalakbay ng Isang Batang Ina" held on July 11, 2024, at the University Quadrangle.
The symposium brought together key speakers, including Dr. Venjune P. Tansiongco and Dr. Sharon S. Fesalbon, OD, RN, who shared valuable insights on protecting youth rights, addressing adolescent pregnancy, and enhancing overall health outcomes. Their discussions highlighted the urgent need to support and empower young individuals in our community.
Dr. Mark G. Calimbo, on behalf of RSU's top officials, delivered an inspirational message reinforcing the University's commitment to tackling these challenges. His address emphasized the importance of fostering a sustainable and equitable future, resonating with the event's central theme: "Leave no one behind, help everyone."
This impactful event was organized by the RSU Health Services Unit, under the leadership of Ms. Abegail F. Madali.
