October 3, 2024 - A successful blood donation drive was held today at the Audio Visual Room from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., resulting in the collection of 31 bags of blood from students and staff.
President Mani was among the donors, contributing 450 cc of blood to the cause.
The activity was supported by a team that included Health Services Unit Director Abigail F. Madali, and medical practitioners from partner agencies namely:
Teodulo F. Manzo from the RED CROSS;
Dr. Renato R. Menrige, Jr., Board of Regents Member representing the RSU Alumni;
Dr. Gaudencio Formadero from the RHU;
Dr. Jacquelyn P. Dimaala from ISIAH;
Dr. Lino Viola from the Provincial Health Office; and Dr. Winston A. Palasi from the Department of Health, Romblon.
Screening and medical procedures were overseen by Dra. Jackelyn Carandang and Aren Vincent Fallaria, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the donation process.
This RSU blood donation drive is an initiative of the university held four times a year, addressing the regionโs need for a steady supply of blood.
The blood donation for this quarter of 2024 has proven the immense power of collective effort in making a positive impact in the community and the region.
RSU encourages all members of the university to volunteer in the succeeding blood drives to fulfill the universityโs mission of serving with honor and excellence, through the selfless act of saving lives.
