Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Tasks View displays all the main tasks that are in the pipeline and shows the percentage complete, times, and durations.
These tutorials explain the Tasks View and the related functions.
Navigation: Main Menu > Production > Planning Board > Menu (button) > Tasks
Navigate to Main Menu > Production > Planning Board > Menu (button) > Tasks.
Adjust the filters as required.
Click View (button).
Display a list of tasks.
Select the entries you want to change. Use Shift Left click to select a continuous block. Use Ctrl Left click to select random records.
Click Actions (button) > Batch Update.
Select Start Date next to Update.
Select a Date and Time from the adjacent blocks.
Click Update (button).
Confirm the change on the popup.
Display a list of tasks.

Click Actions (button) > Batch Update.
Select Finish Date next to Update.
Select a Date and Time from the adjacent blocks.
Click Update (button).
Confirm the change on the popup.

Select Status next to Update.
Select a Status from the dropdown list in the adjacent block.

Select Stage next to Update.
Select a Stage from the dropdown list in the adjacent block.
Click Update (button).

Navigate to Tasks.
Select a date option next to Set.
Click Start Date (radio button).
Click View (button).
Navigate to Tasks.
Select a date option next to Set.
Click Activity Date (radio button).
Click View (button).
Navigate to Tasks.
Select a date option next to Set.
From the dropdown list next to Show, select Active Tasks.
Click View (button).
Navigate to Tasks.
Select a date option next to Set.
From the dropdown list next to Show, select Completed Tasks.
Click View (button).
Navigate to Tasks.
Select a date option next to Set.
Click Date fields (radio button).
From the dropdown list next to Stage, select the stage you want to view.
Click View (button).

Click Group (button) and select one of these options to group the tasks accordingly:
Ungroup
Start Date
Due Date
Req Date
Stage
Display a list of tasks.
Right click an entry and select View/Edit Job from the context menu.
You will be switched to the View/Edit Job interface. This view lists all the stages the job must go through, along with the expected times, quantities, and progress.

Right click an entry and select View Job Summary from the context menu.
On the Job Summary, which opens on the right, click Timekeeping (tab).
Note: You can drag the Job Summary panel to the left using the vertical ellipses in the centre to increase the width. You can double click the Job Summary (tab) on the right to close the Job Summary.
Display a list of tasks.
Right click an entry and select View Job Summary from the context menu.
On the Job Summary, which opens on the right, click Costing (tab).
Use the included functions to customise the Costing display as follows:
Use the + - to expand or collapse the view.
Check the checkbox next to Qtys to display Quantities instead of Values.
Check the checkbox next to Values to display Values instead of Quantities.
Note: You can drag the Job Summary panel to the left using the vertical ellipses in the centre to increase the width. You can double click the Job Summary (tab) on the right to close the Job Summary.
Display a list of tasks.
Right click an entry and select Open Work Order from the context menu.
The Work Order will be opened.

Right click an entry and select one of the following from the context menu under the Timekeeping heading:
Start:
Starts a Timekeeping record.
Sets the job's Status to Busy.
Changes the background colour of the entry accordingly.
Stop (Complete):
Stops the Timekeeping record.
Sets the job's Status to Complete.
Changes the background colour of the entry accordingly.
Stop (Part Complete):
Stops the Timekeeping record.
Sets the job's Status to Partially Complete.
Changes the background colour of the entry accordingly.
