Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Board, also known as the Planning Board, displays a summary of all the jobs that are currently in production or queued to enter production.
Navigation: Main Menu > Production > Planning Board > Menu (button) > Board
Layout
Layouts determine how much information is displayed.
Standard:
Source documents' number and item description.
Person the job is assigned to and the customer's name.
Expected or actual start time and duration.
Compact:
Source document's number and item description
Estimated or actual duration.
Extended:
Source documents' number and item description.
Person the job is assigned to and the customer's name.
Expected or actual start time and duration.
Description of the task.
Refresh: Updates the Board with any recent changes.
Actions: Changes all the records on the Board as follows:
Update Actions (All Jobs)
Set Start/Finish from Now (Stages): All the tasks across all Stages will be set to now ordered by Start Date. The Stages will be re-ordered accordingly.
Set Start/Finish from Dependency (Stages): Tasks are moved if the previous task finishes before the next task starts. Cascading tasks, except for Outwork Tasks, are also moved.
Sorting Actions (All Jobs)
Order by Start Date: The Stage is re-ordered by the Task Start Date.
Order by Status > Start Date: The Stage is re-ordered by the Status and then the Start Date.

Edit Interval Colour: Edit the colours that are used to display the times (e.g. if the job is pending, on time, or late).

The column width of each column defaults to 250 but can be adjusted to be wider or narrower.

Context Menu (right-click an item)
View / Edit Job: Displays all the tasks applicable to the job.
Highlight: Highlights the job across the Stages.
Open Work Order: Opens the linked Work Order.
Open Kanban Board: Opens the Kanban Board for the Stage the selected job belongs to.

Set Start/Finish from Now: Executed by Stage. All the tasks will be set to now ordered by Start Date. The Stage will be re-ordered accordingly.

Order by Status > Start Date: The Stage is re-ordered by the Status and then the Start Date.
View Status Key: Opens a popup displaying the statuses, their descriptions and colours. The popup is view only.
Export Grid: Exports the grid view.
Preview (filter): Displays details of the tasks
250 (default display): The column width of each column defaults to 250 but can be adjusted to be wider or narrower.
Refresh (button): Updates the Board with any recent changes.
The Kanban Board only displays jobs for a particular Stage. Jobs can be dragged between the columns.
Planned: Displays all the Planned jobs.
Ready: Displays all the jobs that are Ready.
Part Complete: Displays all the jobs that are Partially Complete.
Busy: Displays all the jobs that are currently In Production.
Complete: Displays all the jobs that are Complete.
