The Time and Attendance module is used to record staff attendance. When a staff member clocks in or out, their image is recorded as well as the date, time, and location. The location list is an editable lookup list.
A new record is created when someone clocks in, and the same record is updated when that person clocks out.
These tutorials explain how to use Time and Attendance.
In BOS Professional desktop, navigate to Edit Staff (Main Menu > Office > My Organisation > Double-click a username > Settings (tab).
Type time in the search block.
Next to the setting Human Resources > Time and Attendance - Access Allowed select one of these options:
None: No access
Read-only: The person can view the records.
Full Access: The person can view and edit the records.
Click Save (button).
In BOS Professional desktop, navigate to Edit Staff (Main Menu > Office > My Organisation > Double-click a username > Settings (tab).
Type tracker in the search block.
Next to the setting Tracker > Tracker Login (PIN) type a two- or three-digit pin number in the Value column.
Click Save (button).
Tracker must be installed locally for the camera to work because the camera does not work with a Winflector installation.
If you are running the app through a Winflector installation and receive an error message, follow the steps below to disable the camera.
In BOS Professional desktop, navigate to Settings & Default (Main Menu > Setup > Settings & Default > Settings (tab).
Type camera in the search block.
Next to the setting Time and Attendance > Disable Camera: Select Yes to disable the camera or No to enable it.
Click Save (button).
Open the Tracker app.
Select the Company (Database) and tap or click the T & A button.
Select a Location from the dropdown list.
Note: Clocking starts after a location is selected. To change the location, you must restart Tracker.
Type your login pin on the keyboard.
Tap or click Enter.
Click Clock In.
The display is divided into three sections.
Clocking Records: Displays the name of the person, their locations and clock in and clock out times.
Images: Displays the photos captured from the camera (if enabled) on clock in and clock out.
Summary: Displays the date, staff member's name and hours worked. There is a tally at the bottom that adds all the hours. This is a decimal tally (e.g. 14.90 = 14 hours and 90 minutes = 15 hours and 30 minutes).
In BOS Professional desktop, navigate to Time and Attendance (Main Menu > HR > Time and Attendance).
Set = Select a date option from the dropdown list.
Location = Select a Location (optional).
Staff = Select a staff member from the dropdown list (optional).
Click View (button).
In BOS Professional desktop, navigate to Time and Attendance (Main Menu > HR > Time and Attendance).
Set = Select a date option from the dropdown list.
Location = Select a Location (optional).
Staff = Select a staff member from the dropdown list (optional).
Click View (button).
Click Edit (button).
The following fields can be edited by overtyping them:
Start Date
Start Time (@)
End Date
End Time (@)
The record can be deleted by clicking the last column, clicking the X, and confirming the deletion.
Click Save (button).
In BOS Professional desktop, navigate to Time and Attendance (Main Menu > HR > Time and Attendance).
Click Menu (button) > Edit Locations.
The following options are available:
Click New (button) to add a location and enter the name of the location in the Description column.
Overtype any of the fields to edit them.
Click the last column to display an X. Click the X to delete the location and confirm the deletion.
Click Save (button).
Click Close (button) to close the popup.
