Example: Litho - Sheetfed

Overview

• Lithographic (Litho) Sheetfed Printing is a common method in commercial printing.

• It uses the lithographic process, where an image is applied to a printing plate.

• The image area attracts ink, while non-image areas repel ink.

• Sheetfed refers to the individual sheets of paper that are fed into the printing machine one at a time.

• Litho is suitable for short to medium print runs, providing high-quality print output with excellent color accuracy.

• This method is often used in the production of magazines, brochures, and other marketing materials. 

Setting Up

Printing Types

• Description: Litho (for example; the description is up to you)

• Size from: Parts

• Run Type: Sheetfed - Sheets/hr

• Ink: Use Ink Groups

• Substrate Category: Select a Material Category where Type = Sheets

Right-click and select View/Edit Instruction to set the Printing Instruction. See Printing Types.

Substrates

The Material Category must be Type = Sheets.

Use the following Units in Materials: 

• Base = ea - This is the stock keeping unit (SKU)

• Supplier Price = ea or kg 

Parts

Type = Standard, Duplicate or Custom Imposition can be used.
