Transactions may be copied to duplicate them (e.g. Quotation to a Quotation), or to create the next transaction in the workflow (e.g. Quotation to a Sales Order).
The rules governing the conditions under which a transaction may be copied are referred to as Copy Rules.
These rules differ depending on the transactions involved and determine:
When the transaction may be copied, which usually depends on the transaction's Status.
Which items can be copied and whether they can be copied only once or more than once.
Whether the new transaction is opened or not.
When a transaction is copied, a popup form opens. Certain of the fields can be edited (e.g. Select Items, Statuses).
Additional fields can be added (e.g. Code) using the Field Chooser (*).
Navigation: Main Menu > Office > My Organisation > Double-click an entry > Settings (tab)
Users must be granted access to copy transactions. The options are Yes (grants access) or No (revokes access).
All the copy rules can be seen by typing Copy Rules in the search block.
