Overview

Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Calendar provides a snapshot of the outstanding jobs.

These tutorials explain the Calendar and related functions.

How to Understand the Calendar

1. The Calendar provides a snapshot of the tasks that should be performed that day.

2. More detail about each task can be seen by holding your mouse over the task or by right clicking the task and selecting one of these options from the context menu:

   1. View / Edit Job: Opens the job and lists the tasks. See Jobs Tutorial for more information on this feature.

   2. View on Board: Opens the Planning Board with the particular job highlighted in black.

   3. Open Work Order: Opens the linked Work Order.

3. Tasks can be dragged to different dates.

Customising the Calendar Display

How to Display the Stages on the Calendar

1. Navigate to the Calendar. 

2. Click Stages (radio button).

How to Display Jobs on the Calendar

1. Navigate to the Calendar. 

2. Click Jobs (radio button).

How to Display Certain Stages

1. Navigate to the Calendar.

2. Click Stages (button) and check or uncheck the applicable Stages or make a global selection:

   1. All.

   2. All (Not Empty).

   3. Unselect All (in which case you would need to reselect the Stages you wish to view).

How to Customise the Intervals 

1. Navigate to the Calendar.

2. Select an option from the dropdown list next to View:

   1. Weeks

   2. Days (15 min)

   3. Days (6 min)

How to Choose a Different Date

1. Navigate to the Calendar.

2. On the left are mini calendars for three months.

3. Click any Date to display the Stages or Jobs (as per the radio buttons) for that day.

4. Click the arrows next to the first month to adjust the Calendars one-month forwards or backwards.

How to Move Jobs between Stages

1. Navigate to the Calendar.

2. On the left, check the checkbox Move between Stages.

3. Drag and drop the job from one stage to another.

How to Automatically Move Jobs between Time Slots

1. Navigate to the Calendar.

2. Check the checkbox next to Auto move next.

3. When a job is moved (dragged and dropped on the Calendar), the other Jobs will automatically be moved up into the now-empty slot.
