This Product Estimate type is used for all types of signage including billboards and banners.
Only one component can be added, but panelling is supported.
For Substrates, you can only use Substrate (sq. m) costings.
The fields explained in this process rely on the Product Estimate being setup as described below (Create a Product Estimate).
Create a new Quotation and select Estimate > Products > Signage (The name is the estimate type's name).
Enter the Code (Site No.) for the job.
Add a Quantity.
Add the Sizes in mm as follows (Required fields are highlighted in red when blank):
Trim: Trim refers to the final dimensions of the printed signage after it has been cut from the larger sheet and can also include any additional elements like borders or frames.
Bleed: The dimensions that include the extra area around the trim size to allow for cutting variations. It is usually 1/8 to 1/4 inches added to each side. Fields (With arrow icons) have been added to move the Bleed on the X and/or on the Y axis from the centre of the image. Negative numbers move in the opposite direction to positive numbers.
Final: The final size after finishing.
Visual: The area that remains visible after the product has been installed or framed. (This size is optional)
Pricing: The size that is used for Pricing by square meter. The Pricing area (sqm) can be overridden.
Panels: Select from:
None
Vertical: Set the Width and Overlap side and width.
Horizontal: Set the Height and Overlap side and height.

Additional Costings may be added directly in the Input tab.
Create a new Product Estimate and set the Type to Signage.
Select the following Groups: Substrate, Printing, Finishing, and Materials. (Click the arrow next to Groups, check the groups to include.)
Update the lookup list used in the Type field at: Menu (button) > Settings > Signage (group) > Signage Type lookup list.
Substrates: Add the applicable Substrate costings - only Substrate (sqm) is supported.
Printing: Add the applicable printing costings (Costing Type = Service). Set Qty Type = Part (Area sqm) - the area of the Bleed Size will be assigned.
Finishing: Add the applicable costings and link them to one of the following in the Input field:

Trim/Hem
Eyelets
Dragon Tails
Wind Slits
Reinforcing
Printing (Bleed Size)

Pocket: A loop or sleeve at the edge of the banner that allows a pole or rope to be inserted for hanging. This costing needs to include Webbing when required. (A strong, fabric strip sewn into the hem for added reinforcement.)
Trim/Hem: Folded and stitched edge to reinforce the material and prevent fraying. Provides additional strength for grommets or other fasteners. This lookup should also contain a trim-only option.
Eyelets: Also known as grommets, these are metal rings inserted into holes in the material to enable secure attachment through using ropes or hooks.
Wind Slits: Cutouts or perforations in the banner that allow wind to pass through, reducing wind resistance and preventing the banner from tearing.
Dragon Tails: Flaps or extensions on the corners or edges of banners that can reduce wind resistance and increase stability when displayed outdoors.
Reinforcing: Extra material or stitching is applied to the corners or sides of the banner to add strength where tension is highest.
We recommend using a separate Quotation Item (Estimate) for Pre-press and Delivery which allows you to create a separate Work Order for Pre-press and also allows you to batch the Delivery Cost for all the items on the Quotation. File preparation can be added to the Printing Costing.
The image is scaled to a width of 1200 pixels.
When a Work Order is exported to Switch, the Signage data is included in the <SIGNAGE> tag.
The Signage data is available in the Quotation using the data pipeline QT_Item_Signage and in the Work Order module using the data pipeline WO_Signage.
Multiple Costings may need to be created for each input field, for example.
