Signage

Overview

A Signage view is enabled when one or more materials are linked to a Signage Estimate type. This view displays the specification fields and images from the linked Signage Estimate.

The Signage View allows you to compare the Price on the Estimate to the actual selling price Sell Price (Excl) with Actions to update the Material from the Estimate.

• Materials & Inventory > Signage View - Access Allowed: Options are Yes or No.

Buttons Explained

• Reset: Resets the selected Data Filters.

• View: Generates a report based on the select filters.

• Output: Allows users to Print, Preview, Email, or SMS various reports.

• Actions:

  • Batch Update: Changes the major fields and those on the Detail tab for all the selected records. The available options are:

    • Sell Sqm: Updates the Sell (sqm) field on the linked Estimate.

  • Update Material from Estimate: Updates all the selected Materials to reflect the information on the Estimate.

  • Update Material from Estimate (Cost Price only): Updates all the selected Materials' Cost Prices to match those on the Estimate.

  • Views

    • Default: Changes the view to the Default list view.

    • Signage: Changes the view to the Signage view.

  • Settings

    • Edit Categories: Allows users to add or edit categories.

    • Edit Locations: Allows users to add or edit locations.

  • Import: Online Library: Allows users to import Material Items from the Online Library.

  • Export:

    • Email Excel: Opens the default email template and attaches the list of materials as a .xlsx file.

    • Email Substrates (Phoenix): Opens the default email template and attaches the substrates for the selected Category (paper or board) as a .csv file that can be imported into Phoenix.

    • Export Grid: Generates a .xlsx file with the current grid and allows users to choose a save location on the server.

  • Layout

    • Auto Row Height: Formats the rows of the current view to fit on the screen.

    • Auto Column Width: Formats the columns of the current view to fit on the screen.

    • Save Grid: Saves the current grid view.

    • Restore Grid: Restores the default grid view.

Fields Explained

When the Cost/Sell Price differs from Estimate to Material, it is highlighted in red.

• Field Chooser (*): Allows users to add or remove columns.

• MatunitID: The system-generated number allocated to the material item.

• Description: A detailed description of the material used for signage.

• Code: The material's Code.

• Customer: Name of the Customer requesting the signage.

• Site Address: The Customer's Site Address where the signage will be displayed.

• Delivery Address: The Address where the signage material will be delivered.

• Type: The type of signage Category (e.g. banner, billboard).

• Panels: The number of Panels required for the signage project. 

• Panel (W): The Width of each Panel for the signage.

• Overlap: Specifies if there is an overlap for Adjoining Panels.

• Overlap (W): The Width of the overlapping area between Panels. 

• Printing: Printing options are available, including Colour and Coverage (e.g. full-colour, partial coverage).

• Substrate: The type of Material or Substrate used for printing, such as Reels or Sheets.

• Pocket: Indicates if Pockets are required for finishing (e.g. for pole insertion).

• Trim/Hem: Specifies if the Edges of the signage are Trimmed or Hemmed for Finishing.

• Eyelets: The number and placement of Eyelets for mounting or hanging the signage.

• Wind Slits: Indicates if Wind Slits are added to reduce wind resistance.

• Dragon Tails: Additional stabilising strips for securing the signage.

• Reinforcing: Details about reinforcements, such as edge strengthening for durability.

• Packaging: The Packaging requirements for delivery (e.g., rolled, folded, boxed).

• Trim (H): The Trimmed Height of the signage. 

• Trim (W): The Trimmed Width of the signage.

• Trim (sqm): The Total Trimmed Area of the signage in square meters.

• Bleed (H): The bleed height added to the signage for printing.

• Bleed (W): The bleed width added to the signage for printing.

• Bleed (sqm): The Total Bleed Area in square meters. 

• Final (H): The Final Height of the signage, including bleed and trim.

• Final (W): The Final Width of the signage, including bleed and trim.

• Final (sqm): The Total Final Area of the signage in square metres.

• Visual (H): The Visible Height after the product has been installed or framed.

• Visual (W): The Visible Width of the product has been installed or framed

• Visual (sqm): The Total Visible Square Metre after the product has been installed or framed.

• Bleed Offset X: The X Offset (horizontal offset) for the Bleed from the centre of the image.

• Bleed Offset Y: The Y Offset (vertical offset) for the Bleed from the centre of the image.

• Price (H): The Pricing per Unit Height for the signage.

• Price (W): The Pricing per Unit Width for the signage.

• sqm: The Pricing per Square Meter for the signage.

• Price Override: A checkbox that allows for manual adjustment or override of calculated Pricing. 

• Image: An Image preview of the signage design. The row height can be adjusted.

• Sell (sqm): The Selling Price per Square Metre for the signage.

• Cost (Est): The Estimated Total Cost for producing the signage.

• Cost (Mat): The Cost of the Materials used for the signage.

• Sell (Est): The Estimated Total Selling Price for the signage.

• Sell (Mat): The Selling Price based on Material Costs.

• Profit (Mat): The Profit Margin calculated based on Material Costs.

• GP% (Mat): The Gross Profit Percentage based on Material Costs.

• Menu (...): Provides additional options or actions related to the signage record.

Update Material from Estimate

When a Material item is created from a Signage Estimate, the following fields are updated in the Material header:

• The Customer is updated from the customer on the quotation.

• The description is generated from the Type field and the Pricing size field (e.g. Code - Type - HxWm). 

• The Specification is copied from the Estimate Description.

• The Subcategory is copied from the Type field on the Estimate.

• The Sales Account is updated from the Account linked to the Quotation Item, which in turn is updated from the Account on the Estimate setup.
