In the context of inventory and production, materials refer to the Raw Goods, Components, or Supplies that are used in the manufacturing process to create Finished Products.
A Material Summary displays the main setup information of a material along with a summary of transactions. It is available from most context menus that include materials.
Navigation: Main Menu > Materials > Setup Materials > Right-click a Material > View Material Summary
The Material Summary is available from the Material's list view context menu.
Detail: The information from material setup: Detail (tab).
Pricing: The information from material setup: Pricing (tab).
Inventory:
The information from material setup: Inventory (tab).
A graphic representation of the stock movements for the past year.
Dependencies: The information from material setup: Dependencies (tab).
Transactions: A list of all transactions using this material.
Code: The item's code (short description).
Unit: A description of the item's unit.
Active: A checkbox that if checked indicates the item is Active.
Category: The category selected for the item on Detail (tab).
Subcategory: The subcategory selected for the item on Detail (tab).
Customer: The customer selected for the item on Detail (tab).
Specification: Any specification notes filled in on Image & Notes (tab).
Instruction: Any instructions filled in on Image & Notes (tab).
Image: Any image uploaded on Image & Notes (tab).
Unit: A description of the unit.
Sell Price (Exc): The VAT exclusive Sell Price.
Sell Price (Inc): The VAT inclusive Sell Price.
/Qty: The quantity included in the Sell Price (Quantity per Unit).
Supplier: The name of the supplier.
Price (Exc): The Supplier's VAT Exclusive price.
Price (Inc): The Supplier's VAT Inclusive price.
/Qty: The quantity included in the price (Quantity per Unit).
Unit: A description of the Unit.
Total: The Price per Unit.
Location: The Location of the inventory.
Unit: A description of the Unit.
In Stock: The Quantity of the material In Stock.
On Order: The Quantity of the material On Order.
Reserved: The Quantity of the material Reserved.
Available: The Quantity of the material Available.
Unit Price: The Unit Price of the inventory at that location.
Date: The Date of the Stock Check.
Location: The Location that the stock was in.
Unit: A description of the Unit.
Est Qty: The Estimated Quantity that should be in stock.
Act Qty: The Actual Quantity that was in stock.
Var Qty: The difference between the Estimated and Actual Quantities.
Chart: A chart depicting stock movements for the past twelve months.
Field Chooser (*): Allows users to add or remove columns.
ID: The system-generated number for the dependency.
Quote No.: The Quotation Number that needs this item.
Description: The description of the item that is on the transaction.
Category: The transaction's category.
Specification: Details of the specification that appears on the quotation.

Dates: Transactions can be filtered by the following dates:
No Date (default) shows all transactions

ID: The system-generated number allocated to the transaction.
Status: The Status of the transaction.
Trans: A code indicating the Transaction Type.
No.: The source document number.
Date: The Date of the transaction.
Created by: The username or Auto for automatically created transactions.
Company: The name of the Customer or Supplier.

Location: The Location from where the stock was taken.
Qty: The Quantity of stock.
Unit: The Unit that matches the quantity.
Base Qty: The Stock Quantity in the Base Unit.
Base Unit: The Base Unit (Inventory Unit) indicator.
Price: The Stock Price.
Total (exc): The transaction Total.
Qty Out: The Reserved Quantity.
