Production Stages

Overview

Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Edit Stages interface allows users to set up all the Stages that jobs must go through.

Navigation: Main Menu > Production > Planning Board > Menu (button) > Edit Stages

List View

Buttons Explained

• New: Creates a new stage.

• Arrow on New (button) > Default: Creates the default stages.

Fields Explained

• ID: The system-generated number for the stage.

• Production Stages: The Name of the stage.

• Code: The Code or short name for the stage.

• Type: The Type of stage (e.g. Production, Outwork).

• Work Shift: The Work Shift during which the jobs are executed.

• Colour From: Whether the Interval Colour on the Calendar should take the colour from the Start or End Status.

• Group SQL: Checkbox: If checked, an SQL script is used for the Group description.

• Setup: Checkbox: If checked, Setup is tracked.

• Run: Checkbox: If checked, the Run is tracked.

• Washup: Checkbox: If checked, Washup is tracked.

• Order: The order in which the Stages must be performed. The number is allocated based on the order of the Stages on this interface.

  • A submenu with the following options:

    • Edit SQL for Group field: Allows users to change the SQL that generates the Group description.

    • Edit: Allows users to Edit the entry.

    • Copy: Copies the entry to create a new entry.

    • Delete: Deletes the entry.

    • Move Up: Moves the stage one line higher (see Order).

    • Move Down: Moves the stage one line lower (see Order).

Edit View

Buttons

• ∧ ∨: Navigates to the next or previous Stage.

• New: Creates a New Stage.

• Arrow on New (button) > Default: Creates a Stage with the Default statuses prefilled.

• Copy: Copies the Stage to create a new Stage.

• Delete: Deletes the Stage.

• Save: Saves any changes.

• Close: Closes the Edit Stage popup.

• Menu > Edit SQL for Group field: Opens an SQL editor for users to edit the SQL.

Fields

Header

• Description: A field to type a Description.

• Code: A field to type a Code or short description.

• Group SQL: A checkbox. If checked, the Group description will be generated using an SQL script.

• Type: The Type of stage which can be Production or Outwork. The Type cannot be changed after Save (button) is clicked.

• Interval Colour From: Option to choose to colour the interval on the calendar from the Start or End Status.

Status Section

• Add (button): Adds a new Status.

• ID: The system-generated number allocated to the Status.

• Status: A field to type a Name for the Status.

• Colour: A colour field to choose a Colour for the Status.

• ORDERID: A number that is auto generated and represents the order of the Status.

• Default:

  • Whether the Status is the default Status for any of these options:

    • N/A: The status is not a default.

    • New: The status should be used for new jobs.

    • Planned: The status should be used for planned jobs.

    • Ready: The status should be used when a job is ready (i.e. all the materials are ready).

    • Busy: The status should be used when the job is in production.

    • Part Complete: This status should be used when the job is partially complete.

    • Complete: This status should be used when the job is complete.

  • A submenu, allowing users to:

    • Remove Status: Deletes the entry.

    • Move Up: Move the entry one line higher.

    • Move Down: Move the entry one line lower.

Workstation Section (Appears after a Type is selected and Save (button) clicked.)

Type = Production

• Workstation: A dropdown list of Workstations for users to select one.

• Add (button) on the right: Adds the selected Workstation.

• Work Shift: A dropdown list of Work Shifts for users to select one.

• Job Tracking 

  • Checkboxes. If checked (optional), the following will be tracked:

    • Setup

    • Run

    • Washup

  • If no selection is made, no option will appear on the Tracker App when starting a new task.

• Type = Outwork

• Supplier: A dropdown lists of Suppliers for users to select one.

• Add (button) on the right: Adds the selected Supplier.
