Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Jobs View displays all the jobs that are in the pipeline. From this view, jobs can be moved into the Planning and Production Stages. This view also has multiple Actions that can be used to manage the jobs.
These tutorials explain the Jobs View and how to use the related functions.
Navigation: Main Menu > Production > Planning Board > Menu (button) > Jobs
Ensure that your Materials and Costings (tabs) are set up correctly, especially the time it takes to produce an item (services).
If a customer orders multiple items, it is acceptable to create a single Sales Order.
Create a separate Work Order for every Item that must be produced so that items can enter production as soon as their materials are ready. This system could also help prevent bottlenecks.
The Job View shows two columns for completing customer orders:
Required Date: This is the date by which the customer must receive the goods.
Due Date: This is the date by which the goods should be produced. The Due Date can be set automatically and will consider Work Shifts and how long the goods will take to manufacture.
If the Due Date is later than the Required Date, it will be marked in red. In this case, you can see if the job can be started sooner or negotiate a new delivery date with your customer.
If the Required Date has passed, the date will be marked in red.
