Printing Types separates the estimating setup to use specific Parts, Colours, Press Types, and Substrates. The following setups must be linked to a Printing Type:

Navigation: Main Menu > Setup > Printing Types
Size from
Parts: Select from predefined or custom parts.
Flexo Dies: Select from a list of Flexo Dies.
Run Type
Sheetfed - Sheets/hr: Substrate is sheets, speed calculated in sheets per hour.
Sheetfed - sqm/hrÂ
Web - Sheets/hr: Substrate is reels, speed calculated in sheets per hour.
Web - m/hr: Substrate is reels, speed calculated in running metres per hour.
Web - sqm/hr
N/A
Ink
Use Ink Groups: Used when you pay directly for the ink used (e.g. Litho).
Use Press Options: Used when you pay a click/usage charge (e.g. Digital Printing).
Not Printed: Used when adding unprinted sheets.
Substrate Category
Select a Material Category that contains the substrates to be printed. The Material Categories must be linked to one of these:
Paper - Reels
Paper - Sheets
Substrates - Reels
Substrates - Sheets
Finishing Category
Sets the default Category for the service lookup in the Finishing tab.
If the estimate contains Parts using different Printing Types, the category is set according to the Printing Type of the first Part.
If the field is blank in the Printing Type or a Part has not been added to the Estimate, the Category is set from the Branch Setting or the General Setting.

Branch
Restricts all the setups linked to a Printing Type to the selected Branch.
If the field is blank, printing types can be used in all the Branches.
This option is only displayed if there is more than one branch.

<QTYDOWN> - Qty down on Printing Imposition.
<QTYACROSS> - Qty Across on Printing Imposition.
<QTYUP> - Qty Up on Printing Imposition.
<COLOURSFRONT> - List of Colours printed front.
<COLOURSBACK> - List of Colours printed back.
<PLATEQTY> - Plate Qty.
<SPEED> - Run speed - unit depends on Printing Type.
<BLEED> - Bleed on the Part.
<INSTRUCTION> or <PRINTNOTE> - The Note field on the Printing page of the Print Wizard.
<WORKDEPTH> - Work Depth.
<WORKWIDTH> - Work Width.
<WORKSHEETS> - No. of Worksheets (selected from the Parts table)
<RUNSHEETS> - No. of Runsheets.
<NETTSHEETS> - Net Worksheet Qty (Without MR or Run Overs) - unit depends on Printing Type.
<SETUPSHEETS> - Worksheets allowed for Setup - unit depends on Printing Type.
<RUNOVERSHEETS> - Worksheets allowed for run-overs - unit depends on Printing Type.
<TOTALWORKSHEETS> - Total number of Worksheets - unit depends on Printing Type. (Substrate Total Qty * Qty/Out).
<PAPERNAME> - Substrate Description.
<SHEETDEPTH> - Sheet Depth (Stock Sheet)
<SHEETWIDTH> - Sheet Width (Stock Sheet)
<QTYOUT> - Qty Worksheets cut out of Stock sheets.
<PAPERNETTQTY> - Nett Substrate Quantity excluding Setup and Run Overs
<PAPERMRQTY> - Substrate quantity allowed for Setup
<PAPERRUNOVERQTY> - Substrate quantity allowed for Run overs
<PAPERQTY> - The Total Substrate Qty - unit depends on the Printing Type.
<PAPERRUNQTY> - Substrate quantity for the run including Nett Qty and Run overs
