Services are used in Standard Estimating and can also be added directly to Quotations, Sales Orders, and Purchase Orders.
Navigation: Main Menu > Setup > Services
Custom categories can be created for services by clicking Menu (button) > Edit Categories.
A Category and all its services can be duplicated by selecting the category from the dropdown list and clicking Menu (button) > Copy Category.
Categories are simply a lookup list and assist in grouping the services.
The Type field determines the quantity types that can be selected for a service.
Fixed
Plates (cm2): The square centimeter of Plates required for the linked Part - typically used for Flexo Plates.
Plates: The number of Plates required for the linked Part - typically used for Platemaking.
Images: The number of Images for the linked Part - typically used for proofing.
Worksheets

Est x
Rpts x: The sum of the Repeat quantity of all the Parts or of the selected Part if the Service is linked to a Part.
W/Shts x
P/Area (sqm): The Area in sqm of the linked Part.
P/Length (m): The total length of the worksheets of the linked Part.
P/Perimeter (m): Calculates the perimeter as follows: ((Part Depth x 2) + (Width x 2)) * Total Number of Parts.
Lookup: Used to lookup (Search) for the Service.
Description: Used on the Quote letter.
Service Provider: Select a Cost Centre or a Supplier.
Defaults and Options:
Category: Select a category from the lookup list.
This Service Quantity is set by: Select an option from the dropdown list.
Add Adjustment (checkbox).
Add this Service to the Quote Description (checkbox).
Update this Service when a Quote is updated from Setups (checkbox).
Round Up:
Services can automatically be rounded up to a multiple of the quantity set in the Round Up field.
The Round Up can be set in the Services module and adjusted on an Estimate.
The Round Up feature only applies to Finishing services on a Printing Estimate or to Services on a Generic Estimate.
The Round Up field is visible in the list view and can be Batch Updated.
Accounting:
Sales: Allows users to select a specific ledger income account for the service for transactions that are posted to the ledger (e.g. Quotation > Sales Order > Customer Invoice). The account field is displayed on the other transactions (e.g. Quotation and Sales Order) so that it is copied across.
Cost of Sales: Allows users to select a specific cost of sales account for the service if it is outsourced for transactions that are posted to the ledger (e.g. Purchase Order > Supplier Invoice).
Linked Material:
Link default Materials to a Service which will be populated by default when creating an Estimate that contains the Service.
Select the material and click Add (button).
Once added, right click the material and select Open linked Material Item from the context menu to open it.
Remove a material by right clicking the material and selecting Delete from the context menu.
Production Time:
Setup (Hr): The time it takes to setup the service.
Speed: The speed (i.e. quantity complete).
/Hr: The time (e.g. 1 hour) in which the quantity under Speed is completed.
Pricing:
Vat Type: The specified VAT Type for the service.
Exc / Inc: Whether the rate includes or excludes VAT.
Exc or Inc VAT Setup:
One of the fields becomes available based on the Exc or Inc setup.
The other field is calculated.
Sets the prices: Setup Cost + price per unit for / number of units.
Only necessary if there is no Cost Centre selected.
Cost - Setup: Sets the cost for the setup.
Min Cost: Sets the minimum cost for the service.
Adjust (%): Allows the price to be adjusted.
