Job tracking is done using a separate lightweight executable (Tracker.exe), which is by default disconnected from the Database.
When a user logs in, a connection is made and when a user logs out, the Database is once again disconnected.
This module allows for touchscreen input (minimum resolution 1024x768px), as well as for input from Barcode Scanners.
Tracking jobs as a Team is supported. After starting the clock, you can increase or decrease the Team size as required by clicking on the selected Job to open the Context Menu.
During lunch or tea breaks, you can Pause all the Active Users and Teams and then Resume tracking at the end of the break.
For Barcode Scanning, the bcCode39 barcode type is recommended as the easiest to use (check digit not required), as well as the easiest for scanners to recognize. Up to 43 alphanumeric characters can be added to this Barcode Type, but for tracking purposes, you will only be adding numeric characters to the barcode - PIN No., WO No. or Service ID. These tutorials explain how to use the Tracker App.
Jobs can be marked Ready using various features in Production Planning. Jobs with the status Ready or Busy will appear on the Tracker App.
If jobs are in the active queue, you can click the job and click View Work Ticket to open the PDF output of the work ticket.
Open BOS Professional.
Click Menu > Production > Planning Board.
Look at the Status of the jobs on the board:
Jobs marked Busy or Ready appear on the Tracker App.
Jobs that are Pending (e.g. Waiting for Raws) are not shown on the Tracker App.
If a job is on the board but still Pending, right click the job and select Next Status from the context menu.
Note: If a job was accidentally marked Complete and no longer on the Tracker App, you can change the job's status back to Busy or Ready on the desktop app.
