I am Everest

I am Everest
I am Everest, robed in ice
I have no hands
but I carry your life
I don’t think
but I know
Who is worthy
and who must go
My snow covered peaks
touch the blue
Only climbed by the
brave and the true
Others are just selfish humans
that enter my domain
as they are irreverent enough
to leave a stain
Most who ascend
never succeed
As most of them either fall
or decide to leave
I’m sure you know me,
I'm a familiar face
As for I am Mount Everest,
a majestical place
