Honest Review:
Top Gun: Maverick is the reason why I go to the movies and why Tom Cruise is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. It was an outstanding blockbuster film that exceeded all expectations. Returning as Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell, Tom Cruise hits all the right notes and comes full circle in his emotional delivery of a character that has gone from being a young cocky upstart to the seasoned veteran that refuses to let time and age kill his rebellious spirit. Top Gun: Maverick accomplishes a very rare feat of being a long gestating sequel that is not only worthy of the original but actually better than it. This movie manages to retain the spirit of the original, whilst also adding stronger stakes, a more emotionally involving narrative, and better written characters.

Honest Review:
Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire delivers a fresh take on the classic franchise, incorporating stunning visuals and exciting action sequences that keep you on the edge of your seat. A good lineup of actors is accompanied by the original ghostbusters from the 90’s. However, the plot feels confusing at times, making it difficult to fully invest in the story. Additionally, some of the humour falls flat with some dull punchlines. For example, in one of the lines, they say “let me ask you a question. If there is something strange in the neighborhood. Who are they gonna call?” which someone replies to him with “The Ghostbusters. They are gonna call the Ghostbusters”, which at this point feels kinda old, after this movie. They have probably said “ghostbuster” more times in this movie than in the entire franchise, which is completely missing the mark and ruining the overall experience.
