I learned how to code using "print" and how the outputs and inputs work. I want to learn how to code using the "if" command and other basics for python coding.

I am still learning the basics of coding and a few of the fundamentals. It helped to code a little for the digital screen and what the code would look like when finished. Something that I am still confused about is negative indexing.
Unfortunately, I ran into several problems when trying the implement the wifi code for my microcontroller. At first, the running code was not able to identify or find secrets.py, but even after solving that issue, we were still having issues running the code, as there might have been a problem with the microcontroller itself.
What is your idea for the digital project?
A light ring that turns on and off with sound levels
What microcontroller and (if applicable) additional electronics will you use?
Feather M4 + Microphone
Will the project be part of your speakers or standalone?
This will be part of my speaker enclosure, located on the outside of my master volume knob.
